Dsquared2 Pre-Fall 2014 Collection

Dean and Dan Caten were inspired by swinging London for pre-fall at Dsquared2. Designing the lineup for a contemporary Twiggy, the duo cut skirts and dresses dangerously short, while long-sleeved turtlenecks and overcoats added a cozy feel. See more after the jump…

While looks were clean, sharp and understated, there was nothing quite more risky than their extremely mini upper-thigh-grazing hemlines. Only the stems of Twiggy herself could pull off those ensembles. Memorable numbers included a black wool cape embellished with patent leather details over a matching colored mini, and a slim double-breasted suit in a graphic windowpane geometric pattern. Our favorite was a sleeveless beige bonded wool sheath dress paired with a cropped zipped vest. Festive dresses focused on daring lengths as well, and featured either ostrich feathers and intricate beading with Swarovski-type elements. Their collection this time around showed that DSquared’s girl is all grown up.
